Testimonials

I travelled on Nicole’s Red Door Tours Southern India tour which was a trip of a lifetime.

Nicole’s itinerary provided such unique and authentic experiences I would recommend it to anyone who wants to be immersed in the real India.

We had a fun group and were well looked after by Nicole and our local driver and guide Selva.

I highly recommend Red Door Tours.

Having used several tour companies with reasonable/ok/quite good service, Red Door Tours was an eye opener! So much thought and care has gone into the experiences and adventures Nicole has chosen made the trip quite simply, fantastic!

We experienced first hand how it is to prepare and cook in an Indian household; seeing numerous cultural events; visiting both standard and different historic sites; and, best of all, visiting artisans and crafts people who still practise their arts as they have for hundreds of years.

Nicole made sure all our tastes were catered for, whether shopping, history, culture. Her preparations were wonderful – individual cards with any “help” number we could possibly need including personalised insurance information.

Above and beyond, is this tour and I highly recommend it.

Chris – Southern India, 2024

The very essence of Southern India was totally captured on my Red Door Tour with Nicole.

My sensory experience was incredible, and the tour provided countless opportunities for tastes, textules, sights, sounds and aromas that intertwine and explode in India.

The Red Door Tours ethos, organisation and actual jounrey all exceeded my expectations and were true to the descriptions provided online and in social media, demonstrating the integrity of Nicole and her bespoke tours.

The thoughtfully curated tour allows for immersion in the diversity, vibrance, contradictory, flawed but fabulous society and culture that India is.

Nicole and her team were able to provide this opportunity in a safe, secure, and fully supported manner allowing peace of mind and the ability to submerse oneself comfortably.

What will the weather be like?

Sri Lanka is a year-round holiday destination with two monsoon seasons. The weather doesn’t run like clockwork! However, there will rarely be weather so dramatic that it will stand in the way of a brilliant holiday. The temperature is constant at around 27°C on the coast, both the air and the water! Whereas the
temperature of the mountains is around 10-
15°C.
